Having Kelly as my coach has been a transformational experience for me. When I first started working with Kelly in 2010, I was able to PR in the Half Ironman distance by over an hour posting a 5:54. In addition, I began to show dramatic improvement in 5Ks, and even placed in my age group occasionally.

This weekend I competed in my first sprint (felt like an ironman) triathlon thanks to Coach Stacey. She worked with me the whole time working with impossible work schedule and 3 small kids. Race day she was there for the whole thing providing support and equipment. Anyone looking to get into racing should definitely go to Stacey she is AWESOME!! Could not have done it without her!! Thanks Stacey!!

This season I was able to have a successful Ironman debut at Mont-Tremblant thanks to the help of Coach Kelly.  Her coaching made me feel confident and prepared.  I set a personal record at the Olympic distance with a 2:33:58 and set personal swim records in and out of the pool.  I became a stronger, more efficient cyclist and runner under the guidance of Kelly.

I signed on with Scott after deciding that I wanted to really see what I could do for my 3rd 140.6. For my previous 2, I trained to finish. After meeting up and discussing my goals, Scott  sent me weekly workouts and made adjustments as I recovered from a pretty bad groin injury.  I stuck to the plan and sometimes was pushed to my limit, but the end result was amazing. I started race morning confident in my training, and  I ended up PR'ing by 34 minutes and placed in my age group! I had to do the work, but it was Scott's training plan that gave me the tools to get there.

Though I haven't been working with Stacey for long as my personal coach, I have known her for quite a while as a runner and triathlete.  I have consulted her because of her experience, and love of the sport, before I sought to have her as my coach.  It is fitting that she has taken that experience, and enjoyment of the sport to another level.

I have been working with Kelly for 5 months and I have already seen results! I have achieved a 5k and 10K PR at the age of 38 even though I have been running in road races since I was 23. She is extremely knowledgeable and is able to put training physiology into layman’s terms. She is a wealth of information about training plans, triathlon equipment and nutrition. I know that she will be honest with me whether it is something that I want to hear or not.

Kelly has been my coach for a little over a year now. In that time I’ve gone from having a regularly reoccurring issue with ITBS to never feeling a twinge of pain. As a pain free athlete I’ve dropped almost an hour off my Half Ironman personal best and PR’d every race she’s coached me through. I’ve gone from a middle of the pack athlete to just about in the front of the pack of a very stacked age group here in Houston.
